笹尾海岸でビーチクリーン活動を行った後、創価学会研修道場へ向かい、満開の桜を鑑賞しました。
そこでは、私が撮ったタコ写真３枚を展示しながら、タコに関するミニトークを行いました。

参加者の皆様も熱心に耳を傾けてくださり、とても楽しいイベントでした。
After beach clean activity at Sasao Beach, we proceeded to Soka Gakkai Training Dojo to enjoy the full bloom sakura.
There, I presented a mini talk on octopus, displaying three photos that I took.
Enjoyed the event very much as the participants all listened very attentively.
本日、おりのこうせい君のご依頼を受けて、「第2回西方寺まつり」の一環として、「美魚」のお話をさせていただきました。
お寺の本堂でこのような話をさせていただくのは、初めてでした。
大勢の子供たちと保護者の皆さんは話を聞いてくれました。
話の後、カレーライスをいただきました。
魚釣りもしまして、楽しい時間を過ごさせていただきました‼

Upon the invitation from Orino Kosei-kun, conducted a talk on ‘Beautiful fishes’ at the main hall of Saiho Temple.
This was my first experience to hold a talk inside a temple.
Many kids and their guardians came by to listen.
After the talk, enjoyed eating curry rice, playing the fishing game…
All in all, a fun event…

今日、安岐水産さんからのお誘いをいただいて、World Cleanup Dayのビーチクリーンに参加させていただきました。会場は津田ビーチ。参加者はインドネシアや神戸、東京の方面から、30人ぐらい？東京とインドネシアと２度も中継して、交流会を行いました。津田ビーチには、大きいゴミはほとんどないですが、ミクロプラスチックは多い。今回、小生担当のチームはライターひとつを拾いました。裏をみると、なんと「Mexico」と書いています。お昼は、安岐水産さんの特別メニュー「イカ丼」をいただきました。めちゃくちゃうまかったです。最後に、瀬戸内海「美魚」の話をさせていただきました。関係者の皆さん、本当にお疲れ様でした！
At the kind invitation from Aki Marine (a fisheries related company), yours truly participated in the World Cleanup Day event at Tsuda Beach. Participants
included some Indonesian youth, as well as folks coming from Kobe and Tokyo. All in all, about 30 people? Throughout the event, we were connected online on two occasions with our coordinates in Tokyo and Indonesia. There are almost no macro garbage at Tsuda Beach, but lots of micro plastic, I must say. A member from our group picked up a lighter. At the back, it was written ‘Mexico’. For lunch, we enjoyed the specialty of Aki Marine, that is, squid rice. The taste was absolutely delicious. The final segment saw yours truly presenting on ‘Beautiful fishes of Seto Inland Sea’.
Aji Wai Satoumi Bus Tour in Heart Museum
～Charm of hometown ❤️ Journey of discovery and environmental learning～
Had a wonderful time participating in a wide ranging event organized by the Takamatsu City Division of Environment. The location was Heart Musuem, where my underwater photos are being exhibited.
About 50 participants arrived by a chartered bus from the city center.
Seventeen of them were young children, the youngest being 5 years of age, and the older ones were high school kids.
Other participants were adults, some of them guardians of the kids.
Morita-san kicked off the event with a talk on marine garbage at Seto Inland Sea.
My buddies, Nakanishi-san, Mizobuchi-san, and Yuasa-san followed with talks on Aji town, beach cleaning at Aji Peninsula, and fun activities at Aji Peninsula.
A delicious lunch pack was prepared by the the Aji Chapter for Food and Dietary Lifestyle Improvement Promotion Council, using ingredients sourced from local vendors.
After lunch, yours truly was honored to have the opportunity to talk for 50 minutes on ‘Beautiful Fishes’ of Aji Peninsula, which is part of the Seto Naikai National Park.
The event closed with some beach cleaning under the hot blazing sun. All in all, a truly well organized, and fun-filled event. Thank you so much to every one involved, especially the main organizer Uzuoka Shiho.

庵治わい里海バスツアーin歯ART美術館〜ふるさとの魅力❤️発見と環境学習の旅5️⃣〜
昨日、7月22日(土)に高松市主催の環境学習講座ふるさとの魅力発見と環境学の旅シリーズ第5弾として『庵治わい里バスツアーin歯ART美術館』を開催しました。
このシリーズは昨年度から私が環境学習を担当させて頂くようになり、市民の皆様に環境問題を身近に自分ごととして考えていただくために何ができるかと思った時に、先ずは自分たちが住むまちの魅力を知り、郷土愛を育むことが大事なのではないかと思い、環境学習に観光要素を入れたツアーをやってみようと手探りで始めたものです。
こちらのシリーズでは、毎回、各地域の魅力や地域課題、またその課題解決に向けて、地元の皆さんがどんな取組みをしているのか、地元で活躍されている方を講師とした講座や、ビーチクリーンなど、様々な自然観察体験や地域の方々との交流を通じての学びを取り入れる事で、そのイベントの後も自分ごととして継続的に環境保全に取り組んでいただけたり、地域の枠を超えた素敵な交流が生まれる事を狙いとしています。
今回も瀬戸内に暮らす私たちにとって最も身近な環境問題である『海洋プラスチックごみ』について学んでいただく講座とビーチクリーンアップ、マイクロプラスチック調査の講師を森田 桂治さんに、また庵治の魅力を知って頂くための『庵治講座』については庵治のまちづくりの中心人物である中西 省吾さん溝渕 誠さんに、また初の試みとして、百聞は一見にしかずで地域の魅力を参加者の皆さん〜更には世界中の皆さんに知っていただくための庵治のプロモーション動画の作成を湯浅 良太さんにお願いしました。
更に、香川大学のLrong Lim先生も瀬戸内スノーケラーとして、庵治沖で観察出来る美しい生き物『美魚』のお話や水中で撮影した作品展の鑑賞＆解説をしていただき、瀬戸内の水中の楽しみをご紹介頂いたり、毎回恒例で地元の旬の食材を使ったお弁当を地域の方に作って頂くのですが、今回は庵治地区の食生活改善推進協議会の皆さんに庵治の山と海の幸たっぷりのとっても美味しいお弁当を作って頂き、メニューや郷土料理のご紹介もしていただきました。
そして今回の素敵な会場をお貸し頂いた歯ART美術館の館長さんやスタッフの皆様、何度も下見や打合せにもお邪魔しましたが、❤️のこもった温かいおもてなしも本当に素晴らしく、また是非次回もここで開催したいと思いました！ありがとうございました😊
この講座を企画する度に思うのは、高松には地域を愛し、頑張っていらっしゃる素敵な方がこんなに沢山いるのかと言う事です。そんな皆さんとの交流を通じて私も本当に沢山の学びがありますし、益々高松が大好きだーと更に郷土愛が高まります💓
今回も伝えたい庵治の魅力てんこ盛りで、ついつい詰め込み、慌ただしくなってしまったなぁと帰りのバスの中でも1人反省会でしたが、帰りのお見送りの際、沢山の参加者の方から『今日は本当に楽しかったです！』と笑顔で声を掛けて頂き、本当に嬉しく励まされました。
この感謝と想いを燃料に、まだまだ至らぬ点ばかりで毎回猛省するばかりですが、このシリーズも磨き上げながらずっと続けて行きたいと思います✨

本日、さぬき市教育委員会涯学習課のご依頼を受けて、津田公民館大ホールで「海洋生物及び海ごみが海洋生物に与える影響」の学習会を実施しました。小中学生たち及び保護者、関係者を含んで60名ぐらい参加してくれました。一時間を超えて話をした後、「潜水の時、気を付けなければならないことはありますか」とか「なぜ、海洋ごみは減らないのか」というような質問に聞かれました。子供たちの学習に少しでも貢献ができたら幸いです。
In response to a request from Sanuki City Board of Education, Division of Lifelong Learning, yours truly conducted a study session on marine garbage and its impact on marine life. The venue was the big hall of Tsuda Community Center. A total of about 60 people came for the talk, including elementary and junior high students, their parents and guardians, and members of the local community. Questions after the talk (that lasted for more than an hour) included ‘Are there any precautions that you need to take while scuba diving?’, and ‘Why does marine garbage keep increasing?’ If my talk had made a small contribution in helping the school kids learned something, I would be very happy.
Had the good fortune to be requested to present a special lecture on ‘Marine garbage and Information Technology’ to a group of young visitors from Estonia and Germany.
Personally, I benefited tremendously from the endeavor, having to look up multiple sources, searching for materials on how information technology can help to alleviate the problems related to marine garbage.
Following the lecture, group discussions were held. Our group focused specifically on issues related to single use plastics.

Spent an enjoyable evening yesterday, as one of the panel speakers in connection with my underwater photo exhibition at U-Plaza Utazu. Indeed, it was an honor and a delight to share the stage with the Director of the Shikoku Aquarium and the Representative Director of Clean Ocean Ensemble. Many thanks to everyone involved in the planning and execution of the event.

庵治町のホットピアで庵治の一人暮らし高齢者を対象としたふれあいのつどいで尺八演奏会とおさかなについて講話を実施しました。１時間の予定だったが、およそ１時間30分やりました。皆様は興味深くじっと聞いてくれました。（貴重な機会を設定してくれた中西さんに感謝です。また、写真たくさん取ってくれてありがとうございました。）
Conducted a talk on Shakuhachi and underwater photos to a group of elderly folks of Aji town. Was supposed to talk for one hour, but ended up talking for one hour and half. The elderly folks listened attentively throughout the whole time.
