ほうれん草収穫 Spinach harvest

今回のほうれん草のでき具合は、文句なし。あまくて新鮮で、超うまい。
Spinach this season is very good. Sweet, crunchy, and super tasty.

落花生をエンジョイしている Enjoying peanuts

落花生は結構うまく作れた。昨年11月に収穫して、冬の間、薪ストーブの上にじっくり火を通して、食べている。うまい、本当に。その煮汁はまた、おいしい。
Thank the lucky stars, peanuts did very well. Harvested them last November, and am slowly boiling them bit by bit on the woodstove. The taste is really superb, and the water from boiling the peanuts make a very good drink too.

2024年1月中旬の収穫 Mid January 2024 harvest

今朝、畑からの収穫。小松菜にチマサンチュレタス、ルクラ、セロリ。その上にニンジン1本（300g）、赤大根1本（800g）、サトイモ一株（1.5キロ）。幸せです～　:-)
The harvest this morning… Green mustard, leaf lettuce, arugula, celery… On top of that, carrot (300g), red radish (800g), and taro yam (1500g)… happiness, this is… 🙂

2023年12月の収穫 December 2023 harvests

今日の天候は晴れ、無風…
最低の気温は７度、最高17度程度…
庭に居て、餌を食べているニワトリを観察するだけで、至福な気分…
ムラサキサツマイモ、サトイモ、レタス、ピーナッツ、ニンジンなどを楽しく収穫してきている。
Weather today was sunny, windless…
The temperature, a low of 7 degrees, and a high of 17 degrees…
Just being in the garden, watching the chickens feed… heavenly…
Been happily harvesting purple sweet potatoes, taro yam, lettuce, peanuts, carrots, among others…

2023年、秋の収穫 Autumn 2023 harvests

今秋も、お陰様で結構いい収穫ができている。その一部とは、えびすカボチャ、ヘチマ、ピーナツカボチャ、冬瓜、唐辛子など。とはいえ、先日、またイノシシは侵入してきた。サツマイモはやられなかったが、ピーナツカボチャは数本食われた。
Thankfully, this autumn, we are enjoying pretty good harvests. Among the goodies are Ebisu pumpkin, loofa, ‘peanut’ pumpkin, winter melon, chillies… Still, the garden suffered from an intrusion by wild boar(s) some days ago. Grrrr…

イチジク Figs 2023

イチジクは結構出ています。
小さい方は80グラム、大きいものは110グラムまで。
うす甘いですが、味は新鮮で美味。
しばらくエンジョイできそう。:-)
Figs are coming on really well.
Smaller ones are about 80 grams, bigger ones are over 110 grams.
Mildly sweet, the taste is fresh and delicious.
Will be enjoying them for a while. 🙂

スイカ・冬瓜の収穫 Watermelon & winter melon harvest

昨年に続き、スイカを作ってみました。
烏にやられる前、収穫しておきました。
6.3キロのものでした。
少し早すぎたが、味は悪くないです。
冬瓜も初めて作ってみました。
2.8キロのものを収穫しました。:-)
Continuing from last year, tried growing watermelon again this year.
Harvested one before the crows come for them.
6.3 kilograms, not too bad…
Harvested a little too early, but the taste is sweet enough…
Also tried growing winter melon for the first time.
Harvested one that weighed about 2.8 kilograms. 🙂

ばりばり梅雨の日ですね～
こういう時、家で愛妻の手料理（海鮮スパゲッティ、トマト＋モザレラチーズ＋オリーブオイル）をいただくのは、最高です 🙂
また、昨日、雨が降る前、少々ジャガイモとニンジン1本を収穫しておきました。
Rainy season in Kagawa… And in such weather, to be enjoying home cooked food (seafood spaghetti, mozzarella cheese+tomatoes diced with olive oil) prepared by my sweeto haato is… such a blissful feeling… 🙂
Yesterday, before the rains came, harvested some potatoes and carrot…

2023年６月、ビワ収穫 Loquat harvest 2023 June

敷地内での２本の木からビワを収穫しました。
既に10キロ収穫したが、まだあります～ 🙂
ヨーグルトとよく合うので、コンポートを作ります～
Harvested loquats from the two trees in our garden.
Already over 10 kilograms, and more coming…
They make lovely compotes that go well with yoghurt… 🙂
